Nurse Coordinator

Short Description
Coordinates clinical aspects of allergy office practice. Acts as lead to clinical staff related to allergy practice
Assures compliance with regulatory requirements in clinical office areas, related to allergy practice
Performs direct patient care utilizing nursing protocols, triages patient needs, related to allergy practice
Assists providers with arrangements for home care, pharmacy issues, forms completion, related to allergy practice
Semi-independently run Allergy Clinic with supervision and treatment guidance by MD
Administration of allergy skin testing to include skin prick testing and intradermal testing
Follow established plan of care based on allergy testing results
Administration of subcutaneous allergy shots
Mixing of allergy dosing vials for individual patient and testing purposes
Use of in-office spirometry
Drug desensitization in office per protocol
Attend national conferences in basic & advanced allergy principles, dates TBD
Continue independent learning in allergy/asthma
Assist providers with ENT clinic when available
Special Requirements
BSN Preferred
5 years or more. Previous Outpatient office experience a plus.
Previous Allergy Clinic experience a plus, but not required
Allergy training prior to patient care and on the job training by allergy RN and MD
Working knowledge of and ability to respond to and treat allergy reactions and anaphylaxis
Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
Current NJ RN License

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
