DIGITAL CONTENT EDITOR
This is a part-time, temporary role, expected at about 10-16 hours per week. The Digital Content Editor is responsible for generating a steady stream of news, features and multimedia content for SplashTV, digital screens that are installed at more than 150 American Water locations. The Digital Content Editor will work with Internal Communications Managers to create weekly updates to these digital screens using a PowerPoint-like template.
Using content provided by Internal Communications and External Affairs Managers, The Digital Content Editor ensures that all content is properly formatted, and written to appeal to the front line employee who has limited time to review news. This involves editing and proofreading text, working with digital images and rewriting headlines to better fit with the SplashTV audience. A solid understanding of digital publishing practices including what works / doesnt work in such a format, technical ability working with PhotoShop, PowerPoint, InDesign and content management systems is essential to success in this position. The ideal candidate will also possess a superb writing skills, a strong sense of urgency and demonstrate ownership of the content displayed within the tool.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
