Our staff includes otolaryngologists, audiologists, facial plastic surgeons, allergists, speech-language pathologists, and nurse practitioners and we offer specialized care for a wide range of health problems.
We are looking for a Pre-Registration Specialist to join our company.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong customer service skills and works well under pressure.
Job Duties:
Performs insurance eligibility verification and documentation for all patients in the Epic EMR System.
Works in collaboration with other departments to ensure that information is accurate and timely.
Monitor the patient schedule to ensure their insurance was verified and we have all information needed prior to their appointment.
Ensuring all required documentation and compliance has met the specific insurance guidelines for each patient and health plan prior to patients visit.
Creating clear and detailed notes stating the patient's insurance policy terms.
Maintains insurance plan information documenting any updates.
General clerical duties include but not limited to; scanning and attaching charts in EMR system, follow up calls to patients, use of email, phone, computers, and Google Apps.
Answer any incoming calls regarding scheduling appointments or prior authorizations for imaging or medication refills.
