30pm Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
Conducts inventory counts, orders, and restocks items on a daily basis Maintains inventory levels based on current usage and par levels.
Works closely with the Director of Nursing and ASC Supply Chain Management team to ensure adequate levels of supplies are always available on the shelves Reviews the department procedure schedules on a daily basis and ensures product availability Places requisitions for supply orders through Workday Restocks shelves on a first in, first out basis and ensures product is kept neat, organized, and easily accessible Proactively checks for product backorders, communicates and provides updates to the ASC Supply Chain Management team and Director of Nursing Serve as specific and dedicated Service Line Liaisons- works closely with the Operating Room Service Line Leaders for service updates, inventory concerns, and product backorders Perform and assist in the Quarterly inventory count Maintains a clean and safe environment for all staff members and patients Attends mandatory monthly staff meetings and in-services as appropriate Adheres to all SHM policies and procedures including dress code, code of conduct, customer service and attendance and occupational health requirements Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma required Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred 2-4 year experience in a health care setting preferred Previous Surgical Inventory Management experience preferred Basic or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel required.
Knowledge of Workday system preferred Core Competencies Teamwork & Adaptability Acts as a Professional Role Model Assessment Skills Excellent Communication Skills (both verbal and written) Attention to Detail Planning & Organizing Sound Problem-Solving, Judgment and Decision-Making Skills Stress Tolerance Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), stand, sit, bend, stoop and walk for extended periods of time in order to perform the outlined job duties properly and safely Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and with interruptions while meeting deadlines The responsibilities and tasks outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of Summit Health Management.
