2K a year Location Voorhees Department Clinical/Nursing Requirements High school diploma or GED.
Education/training/experience in child development, childcare, play, sensory/developmental stimulation; pediatric illnesses and disabilities; social, cultural, religious diversity/backgrounds.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with healthcare providers and the general public.
Ability to function independently, and as a member of the TR/CL Department Team and/or Interdisciplinary team.
CPR/ BLS certification.
Description Responsible for assisting in the design, planning, and implementation of recreation/play activities in order to meet the needs of the pediatric residents.
Activities include entertainment, inter-communication, exercise, relaxation, and opportunity to express creative talent and fulfill basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs, which will be available to all residents barring restrictions and limitations.
Encourages the further development of skills through activities based on the child's current cognitive, motor, and sensory levels with the consideration of the child's social, cultural, and religious needs.
Activities can be provided in a group or individual setting, in resident rooms, playroom, therapy room, or outside.
Facilitate activities both within VPF and within the community to stimulate and promote resident interest and general well-being, and enhance developmental milestones.
Functions as an integral member of the TR/CL Department and Interdisciplinary team.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
